Allen Watkins

Controller

Allen Watkins joined the Benjamin West team in July of 2002 as controller. Allen brings with him over 20 years of accounting experience within the hospitality industry. He came to Benjamin West from the Omni Interlocken Resort where he was also a controller. His duties at the Omni included all financial management and reporting for the 390-room resort and 27-hole golf course.

Prior to the Omni, Allen was an assistant controller at the Inverness Hotel & Golf Club, located in Englewood, Colorado, where he developed financial reporting systems while implementing new inventory and reservation systems. While at Inverness, the hotel had a major renovation of which Allen tracked all assets purchased through the operations of the hotel. Allen also worked at Sage Hospitality where he was a regional controller for 15 hotels. While at Sage he was involved with all sales and use tax issues in multiple jurisdictions throughout the United States.

Allen has extensive experience with developing internal controls, auditing, and inventory systems throughout operations. Allen is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where he earned a BA degree in business administration, with an emphasis in accounting and marketing.
