
Daniel G. Hennessy
Director, Chicago Operations / Strategic Account Management
Dan Hennessy joined the Benjamin West team in May of 2008 as the Director of Chicago Operations and Strategic Account Management. With over 20 years of account management and hotel operations experience, he brings extensive knowledge in managerial operations and business development.
Prior to joining Benjamin West, Dan served in various capacities within the hospitality industry and most recently as National Account Manager for American Hotel Register. In this role, Dan’s key responsibilities entailed managing OS&E program participation for Avendra franchise management groups that spanned 35 different hotel brands including Marriott, Hyatt and IHG while encompassing over 700,000 rooms nation-wide.
Dan’s lodging experience also includes assignments as a Sales Executive for Marriott International where he was presented with Marriott’s “Presidents Circle” award for his efforts in developing long term strategic relationships with Marriott International’s Alliance Account group. As a General Manger within Marriott International’s CFRST lodging division, Dan focused on developing and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies to increase RevPar and guest satisfaction while, strengthening owner relationships by maximizing asset protection strategies and by driving operating efficiencies and financial results.
Mr. Hennessy is currently working towards a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of Illinois and is committed to public service through his role as an Illinois Township Precinct Committeeman, Chamber of Commerce Board Member and as a volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network.
