USGBC / LEED Certification
Benjamin West is currently a USGBC National LEED member (www.usgbc.org) and is in the process of having multiple employees become LEED AP certified.
How does this benefit you?
“The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.” (www.usgbc.org, 2008)
Benjamin West is not satisfied to simply sit back and wait for others to define what environment sustainability means to our industry. By becoming LEED certified, we are actively facilitating conversations and debates to set the standards by which all others will be measured. From working with key manufacturers of the products used to better understanding the process involved in the placement of these items. We are committed to fully understanding how to minimize the environmental impact while saving you time and money.
Current LEED Projects:
Starwood Luxury Collection – The Nines Hotel, Portland, OR
LEED Silver
Marriott Hotels & Resorts - Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Portland, OR
LEED Gold
